One topic in particular that is often brought up in conversation with creative directors, designers and individuals outside of the creative industry is my logo. The assumption that it encompasses a story is correct. First, the S, the representation of my name and my family that chose it for me. Second, the ampersand, a symbol respected by designers for its multitude of variation and flexibility. Third, the golden ratio, a design concept that is often used throughout my designs. Fourth, the arrow, symbolizing personal and professional growth in the past, present and future. Lastly, the dots, a representation of the end of one story and the start of a new one.
In my spare time I enjoy nature, kayaking, photography, travel, movies and music. I’ve taken various educational trips to multiple countries, including England, Ireland, Wales and Costa Rica. I've climbed to the top of Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney Stone and I've walked along the Ring of Kerry in Ireland. I've hiked, climbed, zip-lined and rappelled down waterfalls in Costa Rican wildlife. I've also witnessed the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
When approaching a design challenge, every color, piece of white space, typeface and shape has a purpose. My designs reflect a clean and timeless aestetic. I firmly believe that the details are what make a design beautiful.
